  • 17. Swift Camp Creek Trailhead

    Swift Camp Creek Trail #219 winds through the Clifty Wilderness underneath large hemlocks and Eastern White Pines with dense rhododendron thickets. The trail crosses several tributary streams and weaves around numerous boulders. While this trail follows Swift Camp Creek for most of its length, it provides easy access to the creek in only a few areas. The trail skirts steep drop-offs that provide views of the creek below. This trail extends 7 miles (11.26 km) one way and is rated as difficult. Swift Camp Creek ends at the junction with Rock Bridge Trail #207.

    Swift Camp Creek Trail also junctions with Wildcat Trail #228. Wildcat Trail follows an old logging road for 1 mile before descending to Swift Camp Creek. Wildcat Trail is a total of 1.75 miles (2.8 km) one way and is rated as moderate in difficulty.
