  • 26. Whittleton Branch and Arch Trails

    The Whittleton Arch and Branch trails offer beautiful forest views with large boulders and towering stone walls. This trail is unique in that it takes you to the largest arch in the gorge by mass.

    The Whittleton Branch Trail #216 is 2 miles and connects the Red River Gorge Geological Area to Natural Bridge State Resort Park. The trail can be accessed from two trailheads, one at the Pinch em’ Tight trailhead on Tunnel Ridge Road, the other at Whittleton Campground in Natural Bridge State Resort Park. Whittleton Arch Trail #217 is 0.25 miles. Both trails are considered moderate in difficulty.
